About the Kundawell Institute

The Kundawell Medical & Research Institute was founded by Professor Xu Mingtang and officially opened in 2008. It is located in the center of Beijing and focuses on modern research into difficult-to-treat conditions, identifying their root causes, and achieving comprehensive regulation of the body through:

• Chinese Image Medicine

• Qigong

• Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

The Institute offers individual research programs, generation and relaxation stays, and educational programs.

Professor Xu Mingtang

Professor Xu Mingtang is a Grandmaster of Qigong and the founder of the modern scientific discipline of Chinese Image Medicine (Medicine of Mental Images), which integrates the ancient medical teachings of the Heavenly Physician Bian Que with contemporary approaches.

During the stay, Professor Xu will:

• Conduct individual diagnostics using Image Medicine

• Provide an in-depth assessment of each participant’s condition

Based on the individual diagnosis, a team of Kundawell specialists will design a personalized relaxation and regeneration plan.

Daily Program & Therapies

Participants will receive 2–3 professional therapies daily, combining:

• Methods of Chinese Image Medicine

• External TCM therapies

• Traditional Tuina massage

• Cupping therapy

• Gua Sha (skin scraping to release unhealthy deposits)

• Modern physical therapies

During the stay, participants may also purchase specialized herbal and therapeutic preparations developed by Professor Xu to address specific conditions.

Andrea holds a degree in Sinology and has an extensive professional background in the field. She has been a certified ZYQ Instructor since 2007 and is also a qualified Image Medicine Therapist. Andrea previously worked as a professional staff member at the Kundawell Institute in Beijing. Throughout the program, she will be available to support participants and provide any assistance they may need.
